Anti-corruption team starts inquiry against AHS ex-president

A corruption inquiry was started against former president Airport Housing Society (AHS) Rana Ubaid Ali, it was learnt. Sources disclosed that anti-corruption team has gathered all the important evidence against him.

The source further stated that Registrar Lahore High Court has immediately suspended Ubaid Ali on the charges of corruption and nepotism, and also ordered for establishing a three-member interim committee on it.

Rana had filed a writ petition against the judgment of Registrar Rawalpindi Bench Lahore High Court. The hearing of the case was held at Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench as court reinstated the judgement of registrar and disposed of Ali’s plea.

Soon after the judgment of the court, the Sargodha anti-corruption team started scrutinizing the record of housing society. During the scrutiny, it was revealed corruption worth millions of rupees was done while the team started further action against it.

While talking to Daily Morning Mail a member of the society stated that Ubaid Ali was allegedly involved in mega corruption of Rs600 million and cases were also registered against him. Anti-corruption started action against him.
