SHOs suspended under SC directives



As many as two Station House Officers’ of the capital police have been suspended as per Supreme Court order for filing a report with misleading information.

The Daily Morning Mail has learnt that an inquiry clerk had submitted a complaint to higher authorities stating that the report filed by the concerned SHO’s regarding construction in state land was incorrect.

The suspended Inspectors include Inspector Malik Shabbir and Inspector Zulfiqar from Bhara Kahu and Banigala police station.

In light of the directions of SC, the notification was issued by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Capt(R) Mushtaq on imposition of section 144 with reference to construction on state land in city circle and Zone-3 of Islamabad.  All Assistant Commissioners were ordered to file their report in this regard.

On the other hand under the directives of IG Police Azam Taimoori, orders were issued for taking immediate action against SHOs involved in patronizing land mafia.
