Accountability court reserves judgment in Saeed Ahmed’s plea

Accountability Court hearing the assets accumulation case against former finance minister senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday reserved its decision on plea of nominated accused Saeed Ahmed Khan to dismiss reference.

Judge Mohammad Bashir resumed hearing of accused Saeed Ahmed Khan plea to dispose of reference. During hearing, the accused counsel Hashmat Habib in his arguments stated that NAB had nominated Saeed Ahmed Khan an accused in supplementary reference.  He rejected all the allegations levelled on Saeed in the supplementary reference.

However, NAB prosecutor arguing that accused Saeed’s foreign currency accounts were operational during 1997 to 2006. On this Hashmat Habib said in 2016 Saeed Ahmed knew that some accounts existed on his name.

NAB prosecutor alleged that Saeed Ahmed had opened the accounts on fake signatures through planning. Later, the court reserved its decision on the plea of nominated accused Saeed Ahmed to dismiss reference as the court is likely to give judgement today (Wednesday).
