Police gear up against smokeemitting vehicles

Islamabad traffic police SSP (operation) has directed the traffic police personnel to speed up the action against smoke emitting vehicles and the cars using pressure horns.
A traffic police spokesperson said that during the last six months they have caught 2,417 vehicles using pressure horns and 341 smoke emitting vehicles.
Under the instructions of SSP, the DSPs of all four zones have activated the special squads in this connection. The special teams will work under the supervision of Traffic Police SP Khalid Rashid. They will take actions against the cars using pressure horns and smoke emitting vehicles at every important roundabout of the capital and submit a report on the daily basis to the SSP.
Rashid said that the personnel showing good performance will be awarded, while those who perform poorly or show negligence will be punished.
