Doctors say Safdar’s sugar level high

A medical board at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Friday completed medical check-up of Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar.
Safdar was admitted to the Pims on Thursday after he complained about stomach pain caused by a post-intestinal surgery.
A five-member medical board led by general surgeon Tanvir Khaliq examined Safdar. Doctors checked his blood pressure and sugar level also conducted his X-ray and ultrasound along with others tests. Safdar’s blood pressure was normal, however, his sugar level was high.
He is suffering from the stomach ulcer and he has had two operations for his stomach.
Doctors said that Safdar did not have the food sent from his home but he was only drinking water due to the dried throat.
Safdar was shifted to the Pims hospital after his health deteriorated in the Adiala jail.
Safdar is being treated in the private ward of the Cardiac Centre which has been declared a sub-jail.
Safdar is serving a one-year term in Adiala jail after he was convicted in the Avenfield reference.
