District Education Authority (DEA) has issued the notices to owners of more than 160 unregistered schools across the district and sought a response from them over the issue within a week’.
These unregistered schools have been directed to get their schools registered or remain prepared for facing the outcomes.The media reports reveal that since the last seven years education department has been taking action against unregistered schools. Whereas the non-registered schools refuse to implement education department’s directives while their academic standards remain below average too.The CEO District Education Department Riaz Ahmed Sohi has issued show cause notices to the schools whose registration period has already expired and the security measurements are found unsatisfactory including 169 non registered schools.
Private schools did not abide by the SOP’s of dengue campaign and they have been directed to take steps to remove irregularities and submit their reply within a week.The step of sending notices to owners of private schools for getting their respective institutes registered is going to be initiated by the education department, after many years. The motive is to maintain government writ in private schools and ensure compliance to the directives of education department.The protest recorded by private schools’ owners is expected due to a large number of show-cause notices issued by CEO Riaz Ahmed Sohi as the owners of these unregistered private schools were not only causing loss to the government treasury but also hiring non-qualified staff for profiteering.
