Daily sasta bazaars in Pindi soon

The Rawalpindi district administration has decided to convert weekly bazaars into daily sasta bazaars to facilitate the public on a daily basis.

Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Dr Umar Jehangir said this during a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf traders’ wing delegation who presented a charter of demand to him.

The deputy commissioner said that the purpose behind turning the weekly bazaars into daily sasta bazaars aimed to provide edible items to the general public on low price.

Jehangir said that pushcart hawkers, who were affected during the anti-encroachment operation, will be provided stalls in these sastaa bazaars on a priority basis.

The district administration is also deliberating on upon launching the safe city project besides putting in place special security plan in commercial areas, he said.
