Vacant posts in CDA negatively impact body’s efficiency

The performance of civic body, Capital Development Authority (CDA) is on a decline due to non-filling of important vacant posts in the wake of ban imposed on new recruitments.

As per media reports, since years important posts have been vacant in Capital Development Authority (CDA), and that has adversely affected an operational aspect of the civic authority in the federal capital.

Sources said that nine posts of Grade 20, 22 posts of Grade19, 69 posts of Grade18 while 267 posts of Grade17 are still vacant and the Grade 18 officers are appointed against Grade 19 posts of many department while officers who are posted on deputation are reaping the benefit of the prevailing situation. .

Grade18 officers are working  on posts for Grade 19 officers in Engineering department, State land, Enforcement, Human Reserves, Municipal Administration, Emergency, Sanitation, Environment, Revenue, Audit, Accounts, Secretariat, Aiwan-e-Sadr, Water supply, Water distribution, Khanpur Dam, Simly Dam, Services, Works, Street lights, Water and sewages, Bulk water management, Secretary board, Co-ordination and 20 other departments including those at the Parliament house.

Due to these vacant posts the inquiry process of the cases pertaining to government vehicles, petrol, plots and residential place remain pending, however the problems faced by the common man have gotten compounded.
