Likewise, ASPs and DSPs will control the sectors while sub-sectors will be monitored by the SHOs. Senior police officers will monitor the security arrangements.

Of the 315 polling stations in the NA-53, six have been declared as most sensitive and 30 sensitive while as many as 279 polling stations have been declared normal.

A central control room has been established in Safe City Project headquarters and three wireless control rooms have also been set up.

In order to ensure foolproof security, police vehicles and motorcycles will patrol the area. Quick response teams have also been constituted and the standby team will also be stationed at the Aabpara Police Station.

Islamabad SSP (operations) has directed the police contingents to perform duty honestly and cooperate with the polling staff.  He said no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
