‘NRO’ signed with aggressors to punish protesters: Zardari

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday alleged that the government had signed an “NRO with the protesters”.

The government, Zardari said in a conference in Khairpur, had made an agreement with the actual troublemakers and alleged that it will now arrest few people whose pictures have been circulating over the internet.

In response to another question the PPP leader said that Nawaz Sharif’s silence over political matters is perhaps his attempt at cooling things down in the country’s politics.

“In politics, sometimes situation is heated up and sometimes cooled down,” the former president said, adding that “Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are perhaps cooling things down.”

Taking a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Zardari said that an “An under 14 team is running the country,” and added that people are worried, inflation is rising and no bureaucrat is ready to work on these issues.

“We had reservations over Nawaz’s government too because they also came in power through a deal. Like the previous government, this one is also in power through an agreement,” he alleged.

Referring to PPP leader Manzoor Wassan, Zardari stated that according to Wassan’s dream, “this government will not complete its term.” NEWS DESK
