OGDCL expels watchmen without prior notices

The number of watchmen that were performing duties on different oil and gas fields were forcefully expelled from their service by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited without any solid reason.

According to detail, the OGDCL administration has removed number of watchmen those who were performing duties on different oil and gas fields as notification in this regard has issued on last Friday.

While talking to the ‘Daily Morning Mail’ most of the watchmen have viewed that they were performing duties for past eight to ten years and added that department has removed them without any solid reason.

On the other hand the President of OGDCL Union Raja Saleem has stated that we come to know that department forcefully illicitly removed several watchmen from ports. “Currently 20 to 25 people have been expelled from service” he added. Responding a question, he stated that OGDCL Union would a protest demonstration for their restoration.

Secretary Company Ahmed Hayyat has viewed that when a oil & gas field stopped production or closed its watchmen routinely removed. However, he stated that department would see the matter of watchmen removal from active oil fields.
