Pakistan’s role would be important to resolve Yemen crises: Raheel Sharif

Commander-In-Chief of Islamic Alliance against Terrorism, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia general retired Raheel Sharif called on , Chief of Army Staff (COAS) general QamarJ Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Monday.

According to ISPR spokesman, during the meeting matters of mutual interest including regional peace and stability were discussed.

COAS appreciated the efforts of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) towards regional peace and security.

Defense sources told Morning Mail that KSA wanted Pakistan’s active mediation role to end the Yemen crises through diplomatic talks with all stake holders and General Raheel Sharif on Monday hailed the efforts of Pakistani military leadership regarding Afghan peace process and said like that way Pakistan’s role would be important to resolve the Yemen crises as well.

Sources told that general Raheel Sharif was here with a high level delegation and will meet high ups of PTI government as well including Prime Minister Imran Khan. Sources further told that this was the advance team of crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman who was finalizing the agenda and possible memorandum of understanding and agreements between Pakistan and KSA in the field of defense and military.
