Four policemen were injured in a roadside blast in Quetta’s Mian Ghundi area on Monday.

“The blast took place near a police vehicle. The explosive material had been installed in a motorcycle. As a result of the blast, a police vehicle has also been destroyed,” police sources said.

Rescue teams and security forces cordoned off the site of the incident while the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan while condemning the incident said that “cowardly acts by terrorists could not undermine the resolve of security forces”.

Directing the police to make security measures more effective, he said that law enforcement agencies would continue their operations until the menace of terrorism is completely eliminated.
