The position of Islamabad SSP Operations was still lying vacant despite passing of four month time period.

The inner sources stated that main reason of this was the on-going rift between Prime Minister House and Interior Ministry.

The DIG Operation was compelled to also perform duties of junior post owing to the unavailability of SSP Operation.  According to detail, SSP Operation Islamabad position was vacant for past four months owing to the promotion Waqar ud Din Syed as DIG.

Sources stated that ex-minister for State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi had appointed Waqar ud Din Syed on the post of DIG owing to his excellent performance.

He also gave approval to appoint IG Operation Ghias Gul as SSP Operation. However, Prime Minister House has canceled the letter related SSP appointment. This was the main reason that important seat was lying vacant.

Sources further disclosed that currently numbers of officers were lined up to take this important. The officers included SSP Farrukh Rashid of traffic police, SSP security Sulman Ahmed, SSP-CT F Syed Ameen Bukhari and others.
