The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday accepted Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) plea to submit more documents in foreign funding case.
High Court judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani accepted the plea.
Court directed that details of foreign funding case of PTI which was pending hearing in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) also should be made part of the court record.
Judge directed that notification of appointment as law officer of Saqlain Haider Awan should also be made part of the court record.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani allowed PTI to submit detail of the petition filed in Islamabad High Court in 2017 and the case is set for hearing on November 20.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI has challenged ECP October 10 order in IHC and requested to stop foreign funding investigation committee from working.
PTI has taken stance in the plea that the order of October 10 has no legal justification due to incomplete composition of ECP. ECP order of October 10 should be declared null and void added in plea.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Election Commission of Pakistan had ordered to scrutiny committee to go on working by rejecting four pleas regarding foreign funding case.
